Track Notes
Overview
I produced this track on spec for an artist. After sending a rough demo, the artist recorded rough vocal ideas on her phone and we worked together to tweak them and build an arrangement (button B). Once the artist was happy she visited the studio to record her vocals properly.Â
Â
Goals
To make a lo-fi house track with dusty sounding synths set against processed pop/polished vocals.
Â
Key Processes:
Â
Vocal
Vocal recording
Timing correctionÂ
Aligning vocal stacksÂ
Tuning
Detailed mix processing (EQ, compression, FX and much more)
Bespoke creative processing
Automation & more
Production
Complete composition and production.
Â
Mix/Master
Comprehensive mixing and mastering.
Â
Outcome
The artist was over the moon with the production and vocal sound after visiting the studio. The track is due for release later this year and the response from people so far has been overwhelmingly positive.

Track Notes
Overview
I created this original track for the artist/vocalist. The track was created specifically for sync (film/TV).Â
Â
Goals
The brief was for a high energy electronic/hip-hop track that would work well for sports/competitive content. Step one was to produce the instrumental and send it to the vocalist. Step two was to then mix the raw vocals into the instrumental. The “before” is the rough instrumental and the raw vocals as received.Â
Â
Key Processes:
Â
Vocals
Timing correctionÂ
Aligning vocal stacksÂ
Restoration/issue fixesÂ
Tuning
Detailed mix processing (EQ, compression, FX and much more)
Bespoke creative processing (designed to reflect lyrical content)
Automation & more
Production
Complete composition
Synth and Sound design
Drum production
Creative layering
Designed “ear candy” moments (lots of them!)
Mix/Master
Comprehensive mixing and mastering.Â
Â
Outcome
The track was placed with a high-profile sync agency in LA, who regularly work on projects for Netflix and other major US TV networks, as well as with brands such as Adidas and Toyota.

Track Notes
Overview
The track started as a rough idea recorded over an acoustic guitar loop from splice. The track was written by a songwriter for another vocalist, with the intention of placing it with a music library/publisher for sync opportunities (TV/Film etc).
Â
Goals
After speaking with the writer, we decided to lean into a darker interpretation of the lyrics. The aim was to create something quirky and a little uneasy with a darker tone and interesting production.
Â
Key Processes:Â
Â
Vocals
Timing correctionÂ
Aligning vocal stacksÂ
Restoration/issue fixesÂ
Tuning
Detailed mix processing (EQ, compression, FX and much more)
Automation & more
Production
Bespoke/unique sound design
Extensive vocal production and mixing
Arrangement
Drum creation/production (use of foley sounds to support lyrical themes)
Bespoke synth parts
Mix/Master
Comprehensive mixing and mastering.
Â
Outcome
Everyone involved was incredibly pleased with the result and enjoyed how the track took on a completely different meaning without changing the lyrics. The track is to be included as part of a sync album with a reputable music publisher.

Track Notes
Overview
This track was sent to me by the artist/vocalist. The vocals were recorded at home on top of a splice instrumental loop and drums.
Â
Goals
The artist asked to make it sound as professional/high-end as possible, and not like a bedroom recording, so this was my main focus.
There was also a challenge in keeping the track interesting and varied, as it was based around a short loop that was constant throughout with little contrast between sections.Â
Â
Key Processes:Â
Â
Vocals
Timing correctionÂ
Aligning vocal stacksÂ
Restoration/issue fixesÂ
Tuning (corrective as well as creation of new melodies)
Detailed mix processing (EQ, compression, FX and much more)
Bespoke creative processing (designed to reflect lyrical content)
Automation & more
- Â
Production
Additional drum programming
Additional production elements (to replace the original loop in sections)Â
Arrangement edits
Augmented bass parts
Added vocal chops/editsÂ
Created contrast between sections
Bigger chorus impacts
Subtle production variations throughoutÂ
Mix/Master
Comprehensive mixing and mastering.

Track Notes
Overview
The original track (button B) was a vocal line and basic instrumental written at a songwriting camp.Â
Â
Goals
I was asked to turn the idea into a full fledged dance track with commercial appeal, as the vocal is more pop leaning. The vocals were recorded in a less-than-ideal environment and couldn’t be re-recorded, so this was something to look at and improve as much as possible.Â

Complete composition and production based around existing vocals
Synth and Sound design
Arrangement/Re-structure
Drum production
Creative layering
Mix/Master
Comprehensive mixing and mastering.Â
Â
Outcome
Everybody involved had nothing but positive things to say about the result. The track is not released yet but is due to be pitched to artists and has already received label interest.

The problem
The online music production space is inconsistent. While there are talented producers out there, the lack of industry gatekeeping means quality and professionalism varies massively. You’ve probably experienced this yourself with other music industry “professionals”, I know I have, and I regularly hear concerning stories from clients about past experiences.
Issues include: producers disappearing mid-project without delivering files (even your own recordings), not hitting targets, bad mixes, uninspiring production, not understanding your vision, or simply not following through.
And there’s another issue: It’s almost guaranteed you will lose objectivity when working on your own music. At some point you’ll question if it’s good enough or “finished”. It doesn’t sound like your favourite records, but you might not be able to pinpoint why.
At this point, most people assume it needs a mix, and this will fix everything.
It won’t. (And I say this as someone who loves mixing.)
There are plenty of mixers who’ll take your money and might even make your track sound better, but they won’t tell you when the arrangement could be more effective, the vocal melodies could be more memorable, or the sample choices could better serve the track, let alone work with you to improve them.
They’ll polish what you give them because that’s their job, but they won’t go further than that.Â
The result? A professionally mixed track that still doesn’t feel right because the fundamental issues were never addressed.
You’re left wondering if you chose the wrong mixer, when what you actually needed was someone to look at your track as a whole and beyond just the mix.
Who are you?
If you’re an artist or producer looking to take your music to the next level, I specialise in bridging that crucial gap between a promising demo and music that truly feels “like a record”.
Â
Whether you’re 90% there and just need that final polish, or you’re starting with nothing more than a vision, we’ll transform your music into something that not only sounds incredible but truly represents what you’re about.
Â
Pick an option below*
I'M A VOCALIST/ARTIST
As a vocalist, you deserve original music that truly represents who you are as an artist, something beyond generic free beats with vocals stuck on top. Every track should be designed from the ground up around your unique artistic identity. I take the time to understand your vision and ensure it’s authentically represented in your music.
Â
Whether you’re already creating music to a high standard or working with basic tools like pre-made loops, I’ll meet you where you are in your journey. Some vocalists come to me to build complete tracks from scratch, while others need that final professional polish on their vocals and mixes.
Â
Regardless of your starting point, my goal is the same: delivering results that sound as polished and professional as your favourite artists and records.
Â
Working with me gives you the freedom to focus on what you do best, writing songs and developing your artistry, while knowing the end result is going to sound amazing. I provide that crucial second pair of ears, offering fresh inspiration and accountability throughout the creative process. The result is music you can release with complete confidence and pride.
I'M A PRODUCER/DJ
As a producer, you likely have a hard drive full of amazing ideas that are destined to remain stuck there forever. Maybe there’s a concept you love but just can’t make work, or perhaps you’ve listened to your tracks so many times you’ve lost all perspective on what’s actually good.
Â
Whether you’re just starting out with basic ideas or you’re a seasoned professional who values that crucial second pair of ears, I help transform your concepts into complete tracks that sound incredible. The goal is always the same: creating music that can stand confidently alongside your favorite records.
Â
Producers choose to work with me because they know their ideas will be developed to their full potential while maintaining their original creative vision. Many love how much more consistent and productive they become through our collaboration, finally seeing those dormant hard drive gems come to life as polished, release-ready tracks.

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Paul, owner of mouve music.
After gaining a degree in Music Technology I went on to work in a professional studio (The Magic Garden – EMI, Virgin, BMG, B-Unique, Universal) recording major label artists and bands. This was generally recording “real” instruments and involved working on large consoles and high-end analogue equipment – my experience there was invaluable. I learnt more about mixing there in the first two weeks than I did in the whole of my university course.
Alongside recording vocalists and artists, I’ve always produced electronic music. I’ve released my own music under various aliases as well as producing for others, including ghost producing for renowned DJ’s.
I’ve worked on releases for some of the world’s top labels including Strictly Rhythm / Armada, Toolroom, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, CR2, Hot Waves, Nervous Records NYC, Mexa Records, New State Entertainment, Warehouse Music, and many more.
My own tracks and client tracks have been featured on radio stations around the world including BBC Radio One and Two and have received millions of plays on streaming platforms as well as features on major TV channels such as the BBC, ITV, Channel Four and many more international TV stations.
How does it work?
Step #1

Step #2
We’ll hop on a call and talk through your project. We’ll discuss creative vision as well as mix and production ideas and more. If you’re into it, we’ll get started.Â
Step #3
Once we’re on the same page, I’ll start working on your project. I’ll keep you updated along the way and you’ll have plenty of chances to offer feedback as we go. Revisions included to make sure you’re totally happy with how it turns out.
What we'll look at
Sometimes, your track might just need a little extra polish. If that’s the case then great, you can be sure the music is the best it can be and we can focus on adding those final touches.
Â
Sometimes though, we might need to dive a little deeper. We’ll look at…
#1 PRE-PRODUCTION/SONGWRITING
First we’ll look at the fundamentals of the music and make sure they solid.Â
Â
Is the arrangement delivering the right energy arc? Does the track have the right length, tempo, and key for its purpose? Do the chords and voicings need attention? We’ll explore ways to simplify or add complexity, refine melodies, build in variation, and make sure the rhythms are working in sympathy. If the track has vocals then we’ll look at things like the syllable flow and vocal phrasing too.
Â
And much more…
Â
A lot of producers and artists overlook this step. You might be surprised how many “mix” issues are actually solved at this stage.Â
#2 PRODUCTION
Next we’ll make sure the production is flawless and we have all the pieces in place for an amazing sounding record. That means looking at sample choice, layering, production complexity, sound design. Could the instrument/drum programming be improved? What ear candy can we add? Is there enough contrast? Do the synth parts feel special, or do they sound like presets?
Â
And much more…
#3 MIXING
Next, we’ll make sure your mixes are impactful, engaging and hit hard.
Â
A lot of bedroom producers (and even some pros) don’t know how to properly approach electronic genres and as a result you end up with a weak mix that falls apart in the car.Â
Â
Bass that doesn’t cut through, vocals that don’t sit properly, muddy synths, weak drums…
Â
We’ll make sure:
Â
Your track sounds incredible and feels exciting
The vibe and aesthetics are spot on
Everything has depth and dimension
The drums are next level
Each section has the right energy and impact – verses pull you in, drops actually drop, choruses pop…
It stays interesting from start to finish
It’s packed with moments that stick
And a whole lot more…
#4 MASTERING
Finally we’ll master your music to sound loud and great everywhere. Phone, car, earbuds, club systems…. The mix will translate everywhere.Â
You’ll also have the option for a dedicated analogue master to add some extra analogue polish.
What you can expect from me:
#1: Clear communication and reliability
You can count on me to keep you informed every step of the way. You’ll receive regular updates on progress, all files will be delivered as promised and on schedule, and I’m always available to discuss your project.Â
I’ll also be honest and upfront. I won’t work with you if I don’t think I can help. I won’t try to sell you something you don’t need. The music always comes first – I won’t let the music suffer just because I’ll have to put a bit of extra time in.
#2: Skill and Experience
My background has meant I’ve gained a solid understanding of production, mixing and mastering techniques working in professional environments whilst learning from the best.
I understand electronic music, and it’s sensibilities, inside out: how to achieve the loud, punchy mixes that cut through club systems, craft bass that hits hard without muddying the mix, and handle the complex layering of synths and samples that electronic music demands.I know what works on dancefloors, how to create tracks that translate perfectly from studio monitors to festival sound systems, and the specific mixing approaches that make electronic music shine.
This means amazing sounding vocals that sit perfectly, consistent translation across all playback systems, and top tier mixes that compete with major label releases.
#3: Extras you won’t find anywhere else
You’ll get things many producers don’t even think to include (all services, included as standard):
âś… Unlimited revisions
Â
âś… Comprehensive file delivery
Â
âś… Stems
Â
âś… Alt mixes (instrumentals, backing tracks for shows & TV placements etc)

#4: Money Back Guarantee
Everything is backed by a money back guarantee
If you’re not satisfied with the end result, you’ll get your money back.
Of course, this isn’t what either of us wants and fortunately it rarely happens. But sometimes it’s just not a good fit and that’s nobody’s fault. If that’s the case, you shouldn’t have to pay for it.
Just let me know what the issues are, and if we can’t resolve them together, you’ll receive a full refund. No hard feelings.
Kind words from clients
